I just checked with my sub and adjusted the glidelock all the way to the end (I usually wear it 2 notches from the end) and I'm still able to close it around the cushion so you're good. The cushion is hard but has a leather layer that's a little soft so there is some play. I attached another picture showing how deep the hole is, the cushion fits snugly at the top so you could even put your watches unclasped and let the bracelet drop down if you wanted to, so you don't have to clasp and unclasp. I don't know if that's recommended but the cushions don't move around up and down because it fits tightly in the square hole if you know what I mean.
